Dr. Alan Mundell has enjoyed practicing veterinary medicine full time for over 30 years. Fulfilling his childhood dream to become a vet, he graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. For five years after graduation, Dr. Mundell had a busy veterinary practice that included both large and small animals. In 1986, he entered the veterinary dermatology residency program at UC Davis and finished there in 1988. Upon his graduation, he became an adjunct professor at UC Davis and earned his board certification in veterinary dermatology in 1989.
In 1990, Dr. Mundell established his own private dermatology practice in the Puget Sound area. He has published multiple chapters for veterinary textbooks and numerous articles for peer-reviewed journals. In addition, Dr. Mundell has lectured at veterinary conferences and continuing education programs on a local, national and international level. In 2011, Dr. Mundell was voted by area veterinarians as a Top Vet when SeattleMet Magazine did their survey. His skilled and gentle interaction with every animal demonstrates just how much he cares for each of his patients and how much joy it brings him to help them.
Dr. Mundell and his wife Lhea, also a veterinarian, have been married for over 25 years and have five children and a menagerie of pets.
